Sue Medaglia "running and becoming" at the Sri Chinmoy 24 Hour track race in Connecticut. Sue ran over 200 km to become a double world record holder, as no woman had ever run that far in a day.

Glacier skiing and views of steaming Mt. St. Helens provided the backdrop for one of the country's most beautiful trail runs, the 40 mile Timberline Trail Run around Oregon's Mt. Hood. Bob Foote was sixth with a fine sub-eight hour performance; complete results in last issue.
